Sunday’s Gospel mentions welcome. We always receive a warm welcome when we visit our parish church. We hope when visitors come to school they receive the same and as our Year 6 travel to the Isle of Wight with pupils from St John’s we hope they have welcome for each other and a welcome at their destination.
Yesterday, the school went to Church for Mass to celebrate the Feastday of Saints Peter and Paul. Very suitably, Year 5 led with the Readings and Bidding Prayers dressed in their ‘Sailing Clothes’, hopefully a reminder of St Peter’s background as a fisherman and how St Paul sailed the seas to reach adjacent lands.
Our Parish Day
This will be on Sunday the 9th July. Only one Mass at 11am followed by a very sociable social! Do come along.
