On Monday, Year 4 and Year 5 had the exciting opportunity to meet author Winnifred Reid, who previously taught at St James the Great.

During the session, she shared some of her wonderful poems and spoke to the children about the inspiration behind her books and love of writing. The children thoroughly enjoyed hearing about her experiences, learning about Jamaican culture and asking thoughtful questions about becoming an author. It was an inspiring visit that encouraged our pupils to use their imagination and creativity in their own writing.
