He is Risen!

After Jesus had been crucified, two of his disciples were on their way to a village called Emmaus. They were feeling sad and talking together about all that had happened and how some women had seen a vision of angels who declared that Jesus was alive.

Then as they were talking Jesus came and walked by their side and talked to them about the scriptures; but something prevented them from recognising him. As evening approached, the disciples begged Jesus to stay with them for supper. It was when Jesus took the bread, blessed it and  broke it and gave it to them that their eyes were opened and they recognised him; but but then he vanished from their sight.

Then they said to each other, “Did not our hearts burn within us as he talked to us on the road and explained the scriptures to us?” Filled with joy, they set out immediately and returned to their friends to tell them all that had happened and how they had recognised Jesus at the breaking of the bread.

Online Safety

We tell our children to share but online it’s different. In fact, sometimes sharing online can be dangerous. That’s why we’re asking parents to be Share Aware and keep children safe online.

Below we have offered two links to websites created by the NSPCC with advice on helping your child to stay safe on social networks, apps and games.
