This week our Nursery’s children enjoyed reading ‘The Little Red Hen’. Inspired by the story, they decided to make their own bread, just like the Little Red Hen!

Together, they wrote a shopping list and visited the local supermarket to buy the ingredients. Back at Nursery, the children helped to prepare and bake the bread. Once it was ready, they enjoyed tasting it with butter and jam.

It was a wonderful experience that supported learning about shopping, baking, and the importance of teamwork — and most importantly, lots of fun was had by all!
